This past spring semester/ summer was crazy, and I did not have any time to write or think! So, that is why you all have not heard much from me! But I am so ready to get back to posting each week, and also to change up a lot of the content that you will be able to find on this blog!
When I first started this blog, I really just wanted to focus on just makeup and skincare, but here lately I have felt as if this blog could be so much more. I have decided that instead of narrowing down my content to just makeup/skincare I would branch out to a lifestyle approach!
My content now will still include skincare/makeup, but I will also include easy meals, college hacks, yoga/meditation, organization hacks, and mental health awareness!
I am so excited about this & cannot wait to share all my thoughts and experiences with everyone!
I just wanted to start off this new adventure with more about myself!
My name is Allyna Kerley, and I am from Crossville, TN. I fell quickly in love with my best friend, Cade Smith, junior year of high school. He brings light into my life, and I could not imagine this crazy journey without him. We rescued an Australian Shepard puppy, “Tuff,†in summer 2018! Our loving aussie is not your normal pup! He suffers from Double Merle, which is where you breed two merle dogs together.
This makes it to where some babies can be blind or deaf. For our little guy- he has both! These disabilities do not slow him down, and we love him even more than before!
I am a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where I am majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. I am pursuing this degree in hopes of one day becoming an Occupational Therapist (OT). I have truly fell in love with the medical field, and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me! I am currently a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), which is where I have fallen in love with geriatrics.
I was able to be a part of an amazing class this past spring semester, that has opened my heart to so much more. The class was Community Based Adaptive Fitness, where the students were able to host exercise classes with adults with intellectual disabilities. I believe that the Lord put this class into my life to show me that I was not put on this earth just to work with geriatrics, but to work with this population that has intellectual disabilities.
I hope this short little introduction helps you have an insight about me! Thank you all for reading, and I look forward to see more of the content that I provide as I begin this last year of undergraduate school.
xoxo, LK
