Year-Round Programs
The Hale Education Department provides high-quality, day programs for schools, colleges, corporations and other organized groups. Each program is designed to meet the organizations’ outcomes knowing that people learn best when they are active participants. Programs for the wide variety of groups that visit Hale can include an academic emphasis, social skill development, a team-building theme or a focus on improving corporate productivity.
Our education programs can be designed to accommodate groups of any size and age. Although most of our groups range in size from 30 to 100, some have been as large as 330 participants. Regardless of the size of your group, all programs are individually crafted to suit your imagination. Join Team Hale for Marathon
Have you ever wanted to run the Boston Marathon? Now is your chance. Hale is a member of the 2020 Boston Marathon Official Charity Program and is recruiting runners for their team. If providing healthy living and outdoor education opportunities for low-income Boston students resonates with you, then apply to “Run Like Hale!â€
Hale’s team fundraising efforts support two programs focused on Boston Public Schools students: Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures and Intrepid Academy.
“We have been fortunate to be able to work as an official charity partner with the Boston Athletic Association since 2013. Each year our runners raise significant funds in support of our programs while increasing awareness of the importance of outdoor educational opportunities for all,†said Paula McLaughlin, Hale’s director of community engagement.
HOLA campers are part of the 5th Quarter of Learning Initiative, a public-private partnership that provides summer learning opportunities to Boston students. HOLA seeks to prevent summer learning loss, encourage academic gains and healthy physical activity, and develop social-emotional skills during the summer months so students are ready to begin the next grade in the fall.
Intrepid Academy at Hale is an outdoor semester program that breaks down the walls of conventional schools, gets BPS students outside, and enables them to earn traditional course credits through a nontraditional, active educational experience.
Hale accepts applications on a rolling basis but the team is sure to fill quickly. Apply today at www.halereservation.org.
