Home / College Guide / ESPN’s College Gameday will be in Lincoln next week for Ohio State-Nebraska

Flipboard Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports The Ohio State Buckeyes are 4-0, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are 3-1, surviving Illinois on the road on the same day OSU hung 76 points on Miami (Ohio). Regardless of those facts, the looming Week 5 primetime matchup in Lincoln, Neb., is getting the red carpet treatment as ESPN’s College Gameday is headed to OSU-NEB for next week’s show. See you next week, Lincoln! @OhioStateFB @HuskerFBNation — College GameDay (@CollegeGameDay) September 22, 2019 The Buckeyes will look to avoid the letdown in Big Ten West road games. Last season, OSU took a big stumble at Purdue. However, this season’s squad looks like the real deal. Quarterback Justin Fields scored six total touchdowns against the RedHawks in the 76-5 victory, and defensive end Chase Young had two sacks and two forced fumbles. Nebraska’s lone loss of the season happened at Colorado on Sept. 7, after the ‘Huskers squandered a 17-0 lead on the road. On Saturday, Scott Frost’s program needed a 15-3 fourth quarter run to pull off a 42-38 win in Champaign, Ill., against the Fighting Illini. It’s the first time this season that College Gameday will be at an Ohio State game, and it’s the second time in three weeks that a Big Ten school is featured for a College Gameday matchup.

Iowa was part of ESPN’s traveling pregame roadshow two weeks ago, as the Hawkeyes traveled to Iowa State for the Cy-Hawk Trophy rivalry. This will be the first time Nebraska has hosted College Gameday since 2007, when the ‘Huskers faced #1 USC. Ohio State-Nebraska is slated for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff, and will be broadcast on ABC.
