    College

My second semester starts on Tuesday, and for some odd reason I am very ready to start it so I can get back to improving my life. I could never, ever believe that I wanted to go back to school in the first place but now I see myself craving it. Just learning, listening, following directions is something I never thought I’d be into again. Which goes into a bigger question which is, how can we improve schools in a way that children and young teens would be more eager to go to ? I know a few people who teach in schools and they talk about how many problems and issues at home that most kids have which is probably the biggest takeaway from school. I know this first hand because growing up poor, no resources, barely any food, barely any clothes, I HATED school. I had no desire to wake up at the ass crack of dawn and go to school for 8 hours like it was a fucking work shift. So I get that 100%. But now that I’m older and went back, I realize how absolutely important it is to graduate, go to college, get a degree and hopefully get a really good job. Life is so much harder without any of that in your disposal. My suggestions would be shorter school days, better curriculum, better paid teachers and staff.

Those are the basic ones that come to mind. I’m ready to go back though, a long grind of 4 months but a certificate and hopefully a job await me. But anyway, just wrote this while my food was cooking, peace.
