Top colleges offering online degrees in Columbus, ranked by enrollment Katy Smith Editor, Columbus CEO @ceo_editor Sunday Local choices abound.
Online degrees are a substantial business. More than 110,000 students were enrolled in Columbus-region colleges and universities in fall 2018, according to Columbus CEO research. We counted 20,613 students enrolled in regional online degree programs in fall 2019.
But the areas largest university, Ohio State, is not the leader when it comes to nontraditional degree programs. That role has been taken up by other institutions of higher education.
The March Leaderboard in Columbus CEO magazine, compiled by intern Heather Barr, ranks the programs by enrollment. You can check it out here. The CEO Leaderboard features selected topics each month. The June Leaderboards will feature Central Ohio banks and savings and loans and temporary employment agencies. The deadline for inclusion in those surveys is March 23.
